French-trained master cheesemaker Gabrielle Kervella (80s) and husband Alan Cockman (40+ years experience). Gabrielle apprenticed in southwest France, became top goat cheese maker in Australia (biodynamic farm, won overall cheese award 2 years running). Returned to her hometown Takaka in 2008. One of only 3 NZ raw milk cheese producers. Wild cultures, seasonal cheese. Micro fromagerie using neighbour's sustainably farmed milk. 60+ years combined experience.
