What They Make
When operational, La Boca Loca offered a range of authentic Mexican cuisine and pantry items. Prepared dishes included: Hand-pressed corn tortillas (for tacos, burritos, enchiladas), Tacos (with sustainably raised beef, pork, chicken, seafood), Burrito de Res (spiced beef brisket, mushrooms, onion, feta, seasonal salsa, sour cream), Pescado Ahumado Burritos (dried fish, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, organic rice, chipotle mayo, salsa ranchera, sour cream), Cochinita Pibil Tacos (achiote and citrus-marinated pork, slow-roasted in banana leaves, lettuce, habanero pickled onions, spicy salsa verde), Guacamole, Churros (with warm orange-chocolate sauce), Salsas (salsa ranchera, pico de gallo, salsa verde), and Margaritas. They also sold pantry items such as dried chilies, organic corn masa, Rancho Gordo products, hot sauces, and their own salsas. Additionally, they published the cookbook 'La Boca Loca: Mexican Cooking for New Zealanders'.
